Marc Bennett will take over as race director from Nick Cole in 2019 and told the Observer: “Burnham Joggers would like to thank all the runners who entered, and Mark Bradshaw and his team at the National Trust for making this iconic event possible. It was a great way to start the year.

“We’re now looking forward to hosting our beginners course in the Spring, the much-loved Beaconsfield five-mile trail run on Easter Monday plus the Half Marathon and 10k on August 12.

“If you’re feeling inspired come down to the club which is based at Huntswood Golf Club. We run on a Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm. We’re a friendly bunch and membership is only £20 for a year.”
