How about a trip to see the Taj Mahal, the Sydney Opera House and the Forbidden City of Beijing this summer - without leaving Windsor.

You will find them all at the Legoland theme park in Winkfield Road which has opened for the summer season.

The three world famous landmarks have all been added to Legoland's Miniland attractions this year, along with St Basil's cathedral in Moscow.

In you prefer America the theme park now boasts Miniland USA, a whole area dedicated to the United States which has taken 55 Legoland model makers more than 12,000 hours to build.

Iconic American landmarks recreated from hundreds of thousands of Lego bricks make up the New York city skyline with the Empire State Building 4.4m high and the Statue of Liberty made from 44,000 perfectly matched Yoga Green coloured Lego bricks.

There will also be a chance to enjoy an epic journey along the famous Route 66, taking in Chicago and Arizona, as well as Lego recreations of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, Times Square, and the White House. Eagle-eyed guests will spot tiny details along the way from Area 51 in Nevada to Cloud Gate in Chicago, as well as over 20 iconic yellow Lego taxis made especially for 'New York City'.
