TWO arrests have now been made after a teenage boy was stabbled in Maidenhead.

The incident happened at about 7.15pm on Monday, September 25 when the 17-year-old victim was approached by two men in Kidwells Park off Bailey Close. He was stabbed in the torso.

Police and an ambulance crew went to the scene and the victim is described as being in a stable condition in hospital although his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A 33-year-old man from Maidenhead was arrested yesterday on Tuesday, September 26 on suspicion of attempted murder and released under investigation.

Since then a 40-year-old man from Maidenhead has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and bailed until October 26.

Superintendent Bhupinder Rai, Local Policing Area Commander for Windsor and Maidenhead, said: “Patrols are taking place in the area to reassure people in the community as we are aware that incidents such as this can cause people to feel concerned. Members of the public are encouraged to approach and speak to officers to raise any issues or concerns, or if they have any information.”

Inspector Jonathan Groenen, from Force CID Berkshire, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information which could assist the investigation. Anyone with information should come forward and speak to police.”
