DRIVERS are facing delays on the M25 after an 'infrastructure defect' was reported earlier today (March 25).

National Highways has warned motorists of long delays with queues backed up around the closure of two lanes.

Lanes three and four, are closed between J13 for Staines and J14 for Heathrow.

The two lanes have been closed by authorities due to an infrastructure defect. Resurfacing is set to take place tonight at 10pm.

National Highways added: "There are 4 miles of congestion on approach causing 20-minute delays above normal travel time.

"Avoid the area if possible and allow extra travel time."
