The airborne ambulance crew that looks after critically ill and injured patients across Slough, Windsor and the surrounding area is to be showcased in a new television series.
Launching at 9pm on More 4 on Sunday, April 8 it will give viewers a rare insight into the work of Thames Valley Air Ambulance as its crew flies to help people trapped in difficult locations a ground based vehicle could not reach.
The series Emergency Helicopter Medics shows the air ambulance - which operates as a charity in its iconic red helicopter - attending a range of incidents across the counties of Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
Amanda McLean, chief executive at Thames Valley Air Ambulance, said: “It was a privilege to be featured as part of this series. It shows how, together with our fellow emergency services we make a difference when minutes matter. Furthermore, as a charity, it provides our supporters with true examples of how their generous donations help us save lives.
“I urge everyone across the region to watch the series and see our amazing crew deliver advanced care in a range of different emergencies. It’s inspiring. To help us be there for more people like those featured in the series, please text TVEHM18 to 70070 to donate £5.”
