WITH THE summer track season at an end, a review of achievements both at club and individual level confirms that Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow remain one of the top clubs in the UK.

At club level, WSEH were fourth placed in the Women’s League Premier Division and sixth placed in the Men’s British League Division One series.

The combined sex second string squad were winners of the Southern Athletics League Division Two title and hence will compete in the top division next season.

The Under-20/17 athletes once again made the final of the UK Athletics Youth Development League, finishing in fourth place in Birmingham. The U15/13 athletes placed fifth in the Southern Premier Division.

The Alder Valley League girls team were overall winners while the boys were winners of the Plate final.

WSEH individual athletes were also prominent both internationally and at national level.

On the international front, WSEH had four athletes competing in the World Championships in London in August. Morgan Lake was the most successful finishing sixth in the high jump.

Shelayna Oskan-Clarke went out in the semi-finals of the 800m, while Ashley Bryant contested the decathlon and Rachel Wallader the shot.

Bryant had the honour of being named Team Captain of the UK squad that contested the European Indoor Championships, taking part in the heptathlon.

The most successful was Oskan-Clarke who was second in the final of the 800m.

Other representatives were Lake (high jump), Wallader (shot), Zac Curran (800m), Ben Reynolds (110m hurdles) and Kerry O’Flaherty (1,500m).

At the European U23 Championships, Amy Holder was ninth in the discus and Jacob Paul fifth in the 400m hurdles.

In the European U20 Championships, Jake Norris gained seventh place in the hammer event.

WSEH have provided a number of national champions this season including, at senior level, Oskan-Clarke (800m), Wallader (shot), Lake (high jump) and Holder (discus).

U23 national champions include Paul (400m hurdles), Holder (discus) and Lake (high jump).

In the U20 age category, WSEH can boast Norris (hammer), Ben Bisher (long jump) and Teepee Princewell (triple jump).

In the National Rankings based on the 2017 performances, the following athletes have made the top three at seniors level; Oskan-Clarke (800m third), Lake (high jump, first), Wallader (shot, first), Hannah Johnson (javelin, third), Paul (400m hurdles, third) and Bryant (decathlon, first).

At U20 level; Alexandra Barbour (first), Jessica Robinson (pole vault, third), Amy Herrington (hammer, first), Tyri Donovan (400m hurdles, third), Dan Ibokwe (triple jump, second), Norris (hammer, first) and Bayley Campbell (hammer, second).

Temi Ojora finished first in the high jump at U17 level, and for the U15s; Francesca Williams (hammer, first) and Archie Goodliff (javelin, first).
