Two more Premier League players or staff members have tested positive for Covid-19 as the screening process is stepped up.

Neither the individuals nor their clubs are being identified by the league but the latest set of results covers 996 tests.

Results comprise the first set of tests undergone by Norwich on Tuesday plus results from league-wide examinations which took place on Thursday and Friday.

Albion have confirmed their policy is to announce if they record any positive tests.

Players or club staff who have tested positive will now self-isolate for a period of seven days.

For the second round of screening, the number of tests available to each club was increased from 40 to 50.

Clubs returned to training this week, initially in socially-distanced non-contact sessions involving small groups.

The plan is to step that up to training with contact if the 20 clubs agree health and safety protocols.
