BURNHAM regained the winning thread in the Hellenic League Premier Division after a 3-0 victory against Ardley United on Tuesday night, writes Rob Stevens.

The Blues had been on a five-match losing streak in the league and not tasted success since the win at Easington Sports six weeks ago.

Burnham took a narrow one-goal lead into the break at The Gore and bagged two further strikes in the second half.

The win means the Blues have moved up one place to seventh position in the league table and just a single point behind Brackley Town Saints in fifth.

Burnham welcome fourth bottom Royal Wootton Bassett Town to The Gore this Saturday (3pm) before making the short trip to Bucks rivals Flackwell Heath next Tuesday (7.45pm).
