MAIDENHEAD United Juniors Bullets Green edged out Maidenhead Warriors 2-1 in a close game in Group Four of the Under 11s development competition on Sunday, writes Rob Stevens.

The first half was a tight affair and finished goalless.

The Bullets took the lead early in the second half through James Galbraith, but the Warriors were quick to equalise via Robert Hern.

The winning goal came from Mohsin Asghar late in the game and Joe Bickford was warded the Player-of-the-Match for his all-round play.

S4K Wolves went top in Division 2.1 after a high-scoring 7-4 win at Chalfont Saints Vipers in the U12s development competition.

RedKore Reds maintained their undefeated streak with a 2-0 victory over Burnham Juniors Jaguars White and, in the other game in the division, FC Explorers beat FC Cippenham Bears 2-0.

Division 2.3 leaders Langley Hornets lost 2-1 at Chalfont Saints Pythons but Thames Valley Youth got their first win of the competition after a comprehensive 11-3 victory against Frontline.

Golden Eagles Under 14s beat Aylesbury Corinthians in a thrilling game in the Wycombe & South Bucks Minor League.

The match was played in atrocious weather for the most part but Sam Hopkins starred with a hat-trick plus there was a brace from Rimaz Lathif for the Eagles.
