HOLYPORT extended their unbeaten run in the Hellenic League Division One East to seven matches after a 0-0 draw at Risborough Rangers on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

Port have not tasted defeat since losing to the unbeaten league leaders in the reverse fixture back in mid-January and have dropped one place to third position in the table.

Star striker Fabian Driffill has scored 29 goals in 30 matches so far this season and is two behind the leading scorer in the division – Brian Haule of Risborough with 31 goals in 32 games – in the race for the Golden Boot Award.

Holyport turn their attention to the Reading Senior Cup and a trip to Sandhurst Town from the Combined Counties League Division One on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

Chalvey Sports regained the winning thread following a 3-0 victory at rivals Langley – who are now on a 12-match losing streak and remain second from bottom in the table.

Windsor suffered back-to-back defeats on the road in the league following their 3-0 loss at Fairford Town.

Goals from Aiden Bennett and Danny Gudger gave Fairford a clear lead heading into the break at Cinder Lane before Charlie Bailey secured the points with a strike four minutes into time added on.

The defeat means Windsor stand in 11th position in the table and just a point behind the top-10 ahead of a trip to bottom side Holmer Green on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
