RISBOROUGH Rangers increased their lead at the top in the Hellenic League Division One East after a 5-1 win against Wallingford Town on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

The Rangers have not lost a league game all season with 19 wins and two draws from 21 matches and are now 13 points clear of the chasing pack.

Two goals from Kyle Faulkner sandwiched between a Brian Haule penalty kick – adding to his ever-increasing tally this season – gave the hosts a clear lead heading into the break at the B.E.P Stadium.

Man-of-the-match Sam Pekun bagged a brace in the second half in between a consolation effort for Wallingford from Stuart Walker.

Risborough welcome bottom-of-the-table Abingdon Town to the B.E.P Stadium on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

Marlow United remain in the top-10 after their match at Abingdon Town was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Culham Road.

The Flying Blues welcome rivals Penn & Tylers Green to the Alfred Davis Memorial Ground in an all-Bucks derby match on Tuesday (7.45pm).

Penn & Tylers Green are now on a four-match losing streak following their 3-0 defeat at Wokingham & Emmbrook.

Goals from Callum Eagle and Jake White gave Wokingham a clear lead inside the first three minutes at the Sports Club & Social Ground with Josh Harris adding to the tally two minutes from the final whistle.

Penn now stand in 11th position in the league table and three points behind their rivals Marlow United but with a game in hand.

Flackwell Heath saw their Premier Division fixture against Brimscombe & Thrupp postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Wilks Park.

The Heathens now turn their attention to the Hellenic League Challenge Cup and a quarter final tie at Reading City on Monday night (7.45pm).

Holmer Green return to action with a visit to Watchet Lane from Brimscombe & Thrupp on Saturday (3pm).
