THE Hellenic League continued to be frustrated after Storm Dennis swept rain across the country this week, writes Rob Stevens.

Flackwell Heath saw their all-Bucks derby match against rivals Burnham abandoned at half-time as rain made the pitch at Wilks Park unplayable on Tuesday night.

The Heathens were leading by a single goal after Ashley Howell saw his shot hit the post but Adam Thomas was in the right position to smash the ball home on 18 minutes.

Flackwell currently stand in 10th position in the Premier Division table but just two points behind Longlevens in sixth place ahead of a visit to Wilks Park from Brimscombe & Thrupp this Saturday (3pm).

Holmer Green were given a lifeline in their battle against relegation when the match against Reading City was abandoned after just 20 minutes with the visitors to Watchet Lane leading 2-0 at the time.

Both Jordan Alves and Josh Blackwood had found the back of the net for Reading.

The Greens return to action when Brimscombe & Thrupp visit Watchet Lane on Saturday 29th February.

Risborough Rangers were set to host Wokingham & Emmbrook in Division One East but saw the match postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at the B.E.P Stadium in midweek.

The unbeaten league leaders welcome ninth-in-the-table Wallingford Town this Saturday (3pm).

Penn & Tylers Green did not make the trip to Milton United because of a waterlogged pitch at Potash Lane and are scheduled to visit Wokingham & Emmbrook this Saturday (3pm).

Marlow United saw their Hellenic League Supplementary Cup tie at Didcot Town Development postponed due to a waterlogged pitch in midweek.

The Flying Blues return to league action and a trip to bottom side Abingdon Town this Saturday (3pm).
