Windsor Cricket Club is excited to announce the launch of Dynamos Cricket for the 2020 season - the follow-on programme to All Stars Cricket and the perfect introduction for anyone new to the sport aged 8-10.

All Stars has been a huge success at Windsor with over 100 participants in 2019 and the club is delighted to be able to offer the programme again this year.

But with England winning the World Cup in such dramatic fashion at Lords last July, there is a huge appetite for the sport and Windsor is now excited to be able to offer opportunities for kids of all ages and abilities.

Dynamos Cricket takes all the recommendations from the junior formats, in terms of pitch length and boundary size, and banner wraps it with the countdown cricket element of The Hundred. It is about providing continuous action and equal opportunity.

The sessions, led by our volunteer coaches, involve skill builders to help provide kids with the skills to play the game and will be followed with a game of countdown cricket.

Soft balls and light wooden bats will be used. Each child will receive a personalised New Balance T-Shirt and eight week programme of countdown cricket as well as opportunities to participate in The Hundred, the new limited overs format which is being introduced this summer involving global cricket superstars.

Registration opens in April for 5-7 year olds in the All Stars programme, 8-10 year olds in Dynamos Cricket, and full cricket training for all age groups for 10 year olds and older.

There is also a full set of fixtures for age groups from Under 8s through to Under 15s in what is sure to be a very exciting summer at the Home Park.

Windsor Cricket Club is also looking for new senior players for this season, and ladies keep an eye out as launching very soon is Prosecco Cricket, aimed specifically at encouraging more female participation in the sport.
