WINDSOR crashed out of the FA Vase at the first hurdle this season after a 7-1 defeat against Eastbourne Town on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

A goal from Dan Bowell gave Eastbourne, from the Southern Combination League Premier Division, a narrow lead heading into the break in the second round proper tie at Stag Meadow.

Bowell was the star on show for the visitors and scored a second-half hat-trick to complete his own four-goal haul. Dan Perry bagged a brace and there was a further goal from Aaron Capon, before Kai Davis scored a late consolation effort for the home side.

Windsor return to action in the Hellenic League Premier Division with a short trip to rivals Burnham on Tuesday (7.45pm).

Burnham saw their Premier Division match against Shrivenham postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at The Gore on Saturday.

Chalvey Sports have fallen to sixth position in Division One East following their high-scoring 5-3 defeat at Long Crendon on Saturday.

A brace from James Hawkes gave Long Crendon a clear lead inside 18 minutes at Court Farm Place. The Stabmonks levelled the scores through Ayden Coomber and Charlie Evans, but the hosts took an advantage into the break with a goal from Ollie Lynch.

The home side secured all three points when Oli Lethbridge and Nathan Browns hit the back of the net in the second half, before Coombe pulled another back for the visitors.

The Stabmonks return to Arbour Park for the visit of unbeaten league leaders Risborough Rangers on Tuesday (7.45pm).

Holyport did not have a fixture to fulfill last weekend but make the trip to Abingdon Town, whilst Langley welcome Thame Rangers to Summerleaze, both in the league on Tuesday (7.45pm).
