WINDSOR ladies gave Amersham & Chalfont 3s a 5-0 drubbing that saw Laura Hayes walk off with the match ball after a dazzling hat-trick on Saturday.

While the first half was deadlocked, all the goals came after the break when Windsor upped the tempo and began to dominate on home turf.

Hayes opened the scoring with a powerful sweep from close range, and the second goal followed quickly after captain Freya Hayter weaved her way from the half way line and into the D to finish neatly at the near post.

Amersham & Chalfont created chances but had no reply as Windsor continued to apply the pressure and were rewarded when Hayes converted a short corner.

Hayter doubled her tally after a slick penalty flick, and player-of-the-match Hayes completed the rout in style with a brilliant solo goal.

The team currently sitting top of Trysports Division One after two out of two wins head to Abingdon this Saturday.

Windsor 2s made it two out of two with a 1-0 away win against Bicester 2s last weekend.

Bicester pinned the visitors back for most of the first half and threw everything but the kitchen sink at the defence.

The back four however of Natalie Morrison, Nikki Hill, Emma Briggs and Emma Williams held firm while keeper Ruki Sayid pulled off a string of saves to frustrate the Bicester strikers.

Following a few tweaks at half-time, Windsor took the game to Bicester and an unstoppable strike by captain Briggs to the far corner finally ended the stalemate.

With the game finely balanced, Windsor held their nerve and held on for a hard fought win that puts them in third place in Division Three with just goal difference separating them from the two teams above.

They host Oxford Hawks 6s this Saturday.
