FLACKWELL Heath continue to make progress in the FA Vase this season after a 2-1 win at Raunds Town on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

A goal from Khalid Simmo gave The Heathens a narrow lead heading into the break in the second qualifying round tie at Kiln Park.

The United Counties League Division One side equalised through Matt Gearing in the second half, but the visitors secured the win when Jack Taylor netted with three minutes remaining.

Flackwell turn their attention to the FA Cup and a second qualifying round tie at home to Slough Town from the National League South this Saturday (3pm).

Holmer Green did not have a fixture to fulfill last weekend but return to action with a cup tie at Abingdon United on Tuesday (7.45pm).

Risborough Rangers have also progressed in the FA Vase following their 3-1 win at Wembley from the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division on Saturday.

A goal from Brian Haule plus a Sam Pekun brace gave Rangers a clear lead heading into the break at Vale Farm, before Wembley pulled a goal back in the second half with a Yassing Fehmi-Gil penalty.

Risborough Rangers turn their attention to the Hellenic League Floodlit Cup and a trip to Langley on Tuesday (7.45pm).

Marlow United did not have a fixture to fulfill last weekend but return to action when Wallingford Town visit the Alfred Davis Memorial Ground in Hellenic Division One East this Saturday (3pm).

Penn & Tylers Green return with a visit to Holloways Park from Risborough Rangers in an all-Bucks derby match this Saturday (3pm).
