WINDSOR suffered defeat in their first home match of the new season in South West One East after a 47-24 loss against Oxford Harlequins on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

The defeat at Home Park leaves Windsor still searching for their first win and points of the campaign ahead of a trip to Buckingham this Saturday (3pm).

Slough got the new season in the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premier under way with a 38-31 defeat at Chipping Norton on Saturday.

Matthew Wheeler scored a brace of tries for Chipping Norton, with further touchdowns from Joel Thomas, Max Benson, Joe Murrell and Angus Brown.

Slough have their first home game of the season when rivals Drifters make the short trip to Upton Court Park this Saturday (3pm).

Drifters made a successful start to the campaign when beating Oxford 28-10 at the Farnham Common Sports Club on Saturday.

The tries for the home team came from Pete Whitby, George Kalinowski and Olly Aston.
