THE Windsor Great Park KLV League team were toppled from top of their division into second place by Maidenhead Town B after a close game ended in a 45-42 defeat.

Charlie Dorey, with Alan Jones and Nigel Finch, managed to secure two points as the only winning rink.

The men’s triples team played at Cippenham and won by one shot. The match went down to the last game on the green where skip Ron Willett, with George Leisten and Bob Ridley, battled away to take top rink honours and secure the overall win.

held a successful annual ladies invitation day with teams from Woodley, Hawley and Wargrave.

After enjoying a glass of Pimms the visitors played the home teams in a competitive friendly spirit. This was followed by a four course meal and wine.

The visiting winners were from Hawley with 24 shots. The home winners, Joan Winter, Angela Willett and Celia Pittman, came in with a score of 21 shots.

Windsor Great Park held its Open Day on Saturday where beginners to the more experienced players were welcomed to enjoy the hospitality and special ambience of the Great Park surroundings.
