THE Windsor Great Park men have had a successful week on the county scene.

Ron Willett, Alan Jones, Ken Kinghorn and Roy Humphries took a close 17-14 win against Windsor & Eton to propel them into the last-16 of the Fours where they will play Reading at home.

also won against Great Hollands in the Men’s Club Championship with the two home sides getting a draw and the away team winning by five shots. It gave them a 73-68 win to take them through to the second round against Caversham at the end of July.

The KLV team had yet another win away at Sunningdale, taking two shots on the only winning rink but the overall total by 13 for four bonus points and six in total.

The men also played the county Double Fours competition but were not so lucky against Desborough where they lost by five shots, 42-37.

A friendly men’s match at home to Suttons was more successful with the Park getting a good 105-74 win, with captain Charlie Dorey leading his team of Roger Fletcher and Ian Flack to take top rink honours.

The ladies team of Gail Dorey, Pam Simms, Ann Patton and Angela Willett lost in the county ladies Senior Fours away at Maidenhead Thicket and the quartet led by Sue Goodchild.
