THE fifth annual Slough Town Legends Exhibition match took place at Arbour Park on Saturday.

Ambers manager Darron Wilkinson and Blues bosses Eddie Denton and Delroy Preddie went into the match all square at two wins apiece.

Ambers went into the lead when Ben Abbey scored five minutes into his first Legends match appearance.

Fans favourite Matt Miller then hit the back of the net twice to give Wilkinson and his side a three-goal lead at half-time.

Terry Davies, also making his Legends match debut, scored twice after the break.

The Blues hit back on the hour mark with the goal of the game from Damian Markman, another debutant in the Legends series.

The Ambers held on for the 5-1 win to give Wilkinson a 3-2 lead in the series.

It was a fast-moving an enjoyable afternoon with so much skill on show from the

Legends.

Debbie Lillywhite helped to organise the event and said: "We had a successful Slough Town Legends match, which is a fantastic way to keep former players involved with the club.

"The quality of the Legends players is still there to be seen and we know from feedback that they loved meeting up again with old teammates. There was a lot of banter to be heard.

"As always, it was an honour to organise this annual event on behalf of Slough Town. Thanks to everyone, the players, volunteers and all that came along to support this event."
