THE Windsor Great Park KLV League team kept up their winning form when beating Maidenhead Town C 66-27 to take all 10 points for a third game in a row on Friday.

Neil Jones and Alan Jones won through to round three of the county pairs after beating Eddie Orme and Terry Davies from Bracknell 31-17.

The pair went on to play a Maidenhead Thicket duo on Thursday.

Pam Simms and Angela Willett lost in their bid to win through to the quarter-finals of the pairs when going down to Bev Wall and Tina Slark of Caversham.

Viv Martin played her first-ever county match in the unbadged singles and put up a very creditable performance before going down 21-11 to Faye Swallow from Crowthorne.

The mixed team played a friendly match away at Hook and won 129-33 with Simms skipping Joan Winter and Brian Joyner to take top rink honours.

The men’s team lost at home in the second leg of the Ascot Cup by four shots, which saw them lose the cup by a single shot.

Ladies captain Simms played in the first round of the county champion of champions competition at Shrivenham and came away with a brilliant 21-9 win against Val Carter.

She will now go on to play an opponent from Reading or Pangbourne in the next round.
