WINDSOR saw their six-match winning streak in the Hellenic Premier Division come to an end after a 2-0 defeat at Fairford Town on Good Friday, writes Rob Stevens.

The game at Cinder Lane was the second in a three-match ground hopper schedule and 337 spectators saw the home team secure all three points.

The deadlock was broken when Lewis Thompson scored from the penalty spot on the hour mark, before Lewis Halford bagged the second goal two minutes from time.

Windsor remain in sixth position in the table despite the defeat and welcome league leaders Wantage Town to Stag Meadow on Easter Monday (3pm).

Holyport have finished in fourth position in Division One East this season after a 4-1 win against bottom side Chinnor on Saturday.
