WINDSOR extended their winning streak in the Hellenic Premier Division to five matches after a 2-0 victory against Bishops Cleeve on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

Goals in the first half from Jack Gibson, his first strike for the senior side, and George Gould secured all three points for the home side at Stag Meadow.

Windsor manager Mick Woodham told the Observer: “We were strong on Saturday and scored at good times. We nullified Bishops Cleeve, got in amongst them and unsettled them.

“We put them off their game and I felt we probably one every individual outfield battle, we were that dominant.

“It was a good, strong performance from us and, to back it up in midweek against a strong side, we’ve had a very good week.

“I was a bit concerned coming into the game because we had a week off after the Fairford result, but the boys certainly turned up and made it difficult for a team that’s been in the top three of four for nine months.

“We done our job and Jack got his first goal. We didn’t have Daniel Roberts with us so we’re not a one-man team.

"He has scored a lot of goals but we are winning without him but, as you saw in midweek, he adds a lot of quality when he’s with us.”
