THE Slough Schools FA Under-11 District Team have made it through to the English Schools FA Danone National Cup Finals.
Slough Schools represented Berkshire as county winners at the South West of England Regional Finals on Saturday.
The team progressed through the finals to make history once again and become the first Slough District to reach the National Finals.
Slough will join another South West England District and two other teams from each region, South East England, Midlands and the North.
The National Finals will be held at a Premiership or Championship football stadium in May or June, which will be a once in lifetime opportunity for the side.
The National Finals winners will go onto represent England in Barcelona in the Nations Cup, which is the stuff dreams are made of.
The Slough Schools FA team includes: Leo Murrell (Trevelyan), Luca Isernia (Lynch Hill), Archie McHugh (St Peter’s), Archie Seeburg (Trevelyan), Tyler Haruvisi (Dedworth), Royus Buterlevicius (Parlaunt Park), Thomas Roberts (Trevelyan), Sam Yabani (Dedworth), Dane Vincent Bailey (Parlaunt Park) and Alex Szymczyk (Dedworth).
The match results were as follows: Slough 2-0 Cornwall (St Austell), Slough 3-0 Dorset (Poole), Slough 3-0 Gloucestershire (Gloucester), Slough 0-1 Devon (Plymouth), Slough 0-0 Hampshire (Gosport) and Slough 2-0 Somerset (Bath).
