The team progressed onto the semi-finals where they lost 8-6 to Princethorpe College, before securing third place in the competition with a 10-1 win against Ballard School in the play-off.

Rebecca Guttridge is a sports teacher at Claires Court Senior Girls. She said: “I was very proud of the girls as they played so well and so many others commented on what a talented team they are.

“The wind was unfortunately not in our favour in the semi-final but I was so pleased with the way the team bounced back to win their play-off match so convincingly.”
