MAIDENHEAD Warriors gained a comprehensive 4-0 win against Golden Eagles to book their place in the semi-finals of the Thames Valley Football Development League Under-13 (U13) Cup this season.
The Warriors took the lead after eight minutes when Ben Nisbet scored from a direct free-kick.
Soon after Maidenhead added a second goal, this time Shyam Gupta with a well-placed shot from inside the box.
Golden Eagles fought back as the first-half progressed and they created a number of chances, including a couple of one-on-ones with the Warriors keeper, but shot wide on each occasion.
Their efforts on goal continued to go high or wide of the mark in the second-half.
Maidenhead had better luck as Bence Farago scored with a cross-come-shot from long range out on the wing that squirmed through the hands of the keeper.
Their fourth goal came late on from another well-taken free-kick with Oscar Friedman the scorer.
In the U12 section, Thames Valley Youth won 2-0 away at Boyne Hill Blades, while Chalfont Saints had a goalless draw with Delaford Colts Blue.
FC Explores Reds were beaten 2-1 at home by Langley Hornets Whites as Taplow United Youth won 3-0 against FC Explorers Blues, and Burnham Junior Leopards Blues beat Marish 3-0.
