HOLYPORT manager Derek Sweetman is pleased with a point after his side drew 0-0 with Wokingham & Emmbrook at Summerleaze on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

The stalemate means Port remain unbeaten in three matches against their Berkshire rivals this season, and continue to stand in fifth position in Hellenic Division One East.

Sweetman told the Observer: "It was a tight game against a Wokingham side that are well-organised, big and strong. They're a difficult team to play against and I'm pleased with a point.

"We had chances to get our noses in front in the first-half but Wokingham came fighting back. We could have won it towards the end of the game but they could've nicked it as well

"You have to fight for everything you get against Wokingham but we've now played them three times and not been beaten after two draws and a win.

"They will take points off teams in this division because they're a good side and tough to beat."

Holyport turn their attention to the defence of the Hellenic Supplementary Cup and a second round tie away at Malmesbury Victoria from Division One West this Saturday (3pm).

Port then return to Summerleaze for the visit of Thame Rangers in an Hellenic Floodlit Cup tie next Tuesday (7.45pm).
