WINDSOR have been drawn away to Biggleswade in the fifth round proper of the FA Vase this season, writes Rob Stevens.

Windsor reached the last 16 of the competition for the second successive season after a 4-1 win away at AFC Uckfield Town on Saturday.

The Stag Meadow-based club are the only remaining side from the Hellenic League left in the Vase and they have already scooped £3,900 in prize money since entering in round two.

Striker Daniel Roberts is enjoying a fruitful spell in the competition having scored in each round so far, including a hat-trick against Uckfield last weekend. He has five goals in three FA Vase matches this season.

Biggleswade are currently in third position in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division, just two points behind leaders Tring Athletic but with three matches in hand.

The club won the Division One title in the 2016-17 season and have lost just once in their last nine matches in all competitions.

Biggleswade won 1-0 at home against Stowmarket Town from the Eastern Counties League Premier Division in round four on Sunday, when over 500 spectators watched at the Carlsberg Stadium.

The tie is scheduled for Saturday 2nd December but is most likely to be played a day later on Sunday 3rd December with a 3pm kick-off. The date will be confirmed as soon as possible.
