WINDSOR manager Mick Woodham has challenged his side to bounce back to form against Stag Meadow tenants Virginia Water on Boxing Day (3pm), writes Rob Stevens.

Windsor suffered a first defeat in three matches in all competitions when losing to Brimscombe & Thrupp in the Hellenic Premier Division on Saturday.

Woodham knows what his side have got to work on ahead of the Christmas derby and he explained it is important to get something out of the game.

He told the Observer: "We will live and learn and know what we've got to work on. We've got a 10-day break now to put it right.

"We could've done with a game in midweek or this Saturday just to put us back into the flow of things but we knew we would have a break win, lose or draw last weekend.

"We will just have to bounce back on Boxing Day. It's just another game but we will need to right the result from last weekend and try to pick some points up. That's the only thing I'm interested in.

"The opposition doesn't really bother me at all. Let's just try to improve on our weaknesses from Saturday and go and get three points.

"If the derby element gets other peoples juices flowing then so be it but I won't react to it. I trust the boys to turn up and try and win three points.

"How we get it I don't really care but it's important that we get something out of the game."
