WINDSOR head coach Anthony Andrews believes his side were close to their best attacking-wise in the 112-0 win against Littlemore on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

The Southern Counties North league leaders were clinical in their victory over the divisions bottom side at Home Park, and Andrews was equally impressed with their workrate in defence.

He told the Observer: "It was a pretty convincing win and a consistent performance as well. We didn't run away with it then take our foot off the pedal but kept the pressure on.

"We executed a lot of our attacks and finished our tries well. Every time we got a chance we had support for the ball player both inside and out.

"We were certainly close to our best in attack, but the workrate in defence and hunger to get the ball back was equally as good.

"Littlemore are struggling with injuries and came with a weakened squad which didn't help their cause. They didn't give up, so credit to them, but they caught us on a good day.

"We can only play whatever is in front of us and we've just got to focus on what we can do."

Windsor face a top-of-the-table clash away at Wallingford this Saturday (2pm), but Andrews is confident his side can beat anyone in their current form.

He explained: "We let ourselves down against High Wycombe but since then we've had two good performances. Hopefully we can continue that momentum and keep on improving.

"It's still early days and we're not even half-way through the season, but a win would open up a bit of a gap. It's a long season and we've just got to focus on getting another win and then see where we're at.

"Wallingford are a good side and consistent with their results.

"I'm sure it'll be a different kind of test but we will look forward to it. It will be interesting to see what the boys do in a tougher mental challenge.

"All we can do is be focused each week and focus on that next game. We will treat Wallingford like any other match and prepare the best we can.

"The boys are training really well and working really hard so I'm confident we can get a result on Saturday."
