WINDSOR, Slough, Eton & Hounslow (WSEH) Athletics Club have continued their excellent start to the winter season with more podium places in the South of England Cross Country Relays event at Wormwood Scrubs.

The Under-15 (U15) girls’ team once again grabbed silver medals in their race. Jasmine Young was timed at seven minutes and 18 seconds (7.18), Eloisa Harris 8.16 and Charlotte Dewar on the final leg with 7.16.

The WSEH B team were the second placed B team with good runs from Holly Landon (7.53), Imogen Tattersal (8.54) and Isabelle Haycock(8.40).

More silver medals resulted in the U13 girls’ race. Daya Baga led the way with her time of 7.38, followed by Freya Wilcox on 7.44, with Rachel Clutterbuck ensuring the podium spot with her time of 7.41.

The U17 men’s team got off to a good start with Sam Southall returning home in third place in 10.18.

WSEH held on to this bronze medal placing with solid efforts from Dominic McDougall(10.14) and Ross Van Heerde(11.14).

Just out of the medal hunt in fourth place were the U-17 ladies team with Kate Clutterbuck on 8.35, Amy Young on 8.11 and Molly Jones also clocking 8.11 on the final leg.

WSEH also fielded B and C teams in this event. The B team were 10th overall - the 2nd B team to finish - with Maya Hodgson on 8.34, Ellie Van Heerde on 8.39 and Isabelle Craven on 9.18.

The C team was represented by Madison Foxcroft (8.52), Daisy Schotting-Robinson (9.04) and Lily Schotting-Robinson (9m33) – finishing 12th overall.

There was strong running from the WSEH senior men with a good sixth place resulting. The contributors were Alex Goodall (14.58), Blake Moore(14.21), Adam Moore (14.48) and Simon Millett (15.17).

A WSEH B team also faced the starter, producing a 16th place via Kieran Best (16.04), James Tidd (15.21), Seb Pencole (16.16) and Joe Spicer (16.34).

WSEH also fielded two teams in the U13 boys race with the A team coming home in 9th place. The runners were Ben Dewar (7.30), Julian Abass (7. 33) and Sam Johnston(7.28).

It was a token team that represented WSEH in the senior ladies team finishing in 18th place – Juliet Soane clocking 13.27, Veteran Marina Steadman 14.33 and Becky Atkinson with 12.35.
