KONAMI Digital Entertainment B.V. will sponsor Windsor FC Youth for the next two seasons in a bid to continue its support for local communities around its business.

Following their philanthropic efforts with the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service and the Kozuki Foundation, Konami is determined to expand their support of local establishments, in particular those focused on youth development.

Home to 500 players aged between 5-16, Windsor FC Youth will now feature the logo of Konami’s biggest football brand, Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), emblazoned across their kit and will be provided with additional sports gear throughout the season.

The Windsor senior team was founded following the demise of Windsor & Eton after servicing the community for 118 years.

The football club itself continues to support local and national charities by way of free entry matches and, most recently, providing fundraising for the Windsor Homeless Project.

Windsor FC Youth was founded in 1982 and supports player development of all abilities and some graduate to play for the senior first team.

Masami Saso is President of Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. and explained: “We’re immensely proud of our strong routes in Windsor, the location of our European HQ, and Konami as a whole is committed to giving back to our local communities.

“We see no better way of doing this than by sponsoring the Windsor FC Youth team for the next two seasons.

Our passion for football and developing youth communities goes hand-in-hand with this sponsorship and we're delighted to be supporting the team.”

Nick Hull, Sponsorship Officer for Windsor FC Youth added: “We're absolutely delighted to be developing our friendship with Konami. It’s great to find a sponsor who believes in the strength of local communities as we do and is willing to go the extra mile to be a part of it."
