WINDSOR boss Mick Woodham has challenged his side to keep on building and put points on the board upon their return to action in the Hellenic Premier Division.

Windsor welcome Royal Wootton Bassett to Stag Meadow this Saturday (3pm) after an impressive FA Cup win at Highworth Town in midweek.

Woodham explained cup matches are great for building confidence, but he knows the team will be judged on their league position this season.

He told the Observer: “Royal Wootton had an eye-catching result for the wrong reasons in midweek, so we can expect a backlash from that.

“We will take a lot of confidence into the match because our last two home games have been decent performance-wise.

“But, we’ve got to turn up and do things properly and keep on building. No matter what title the match carries we just want to win.

“Cup matches are great for building confidence and belief, but now the challenge for us it to build on that and we need to put some points on the board.”

Windsor will travel to Cirencester Town in the preliminary round of the FA Cup on Saturday 25th August.

Woodham commented: "Cirencester were at Highworth watching in midweek so we will have to get them watched as well, probably next Tuesday.

"Cirencester are another step four club and it will be very tough for us, but we will have nothing to lose by playing our game, and anything can happen in cup football."
