THE Slough Scorpionz team set off for Brazil on Tuesday to compete in the World Finals of the Neymar Jnr 5s tournament.

The finals will take place tomorrow (Friday) and will be shown live on the Neymar Jnr website plus the Youtube channel.

Scorpionz will be representing the UK and battle it out with 58 other teams (countries) to see who be will be crowned world champions.

The team is managed by Zufran Asghar and will be in a confident mood having beaten tough competition in the UK finals.

Captain Umar Riaz will lead his troops in Brazil after scoring the winning goal in the UK national final.

The team includes Slough-based stars Hasan Hussain, Rushd Hamid and Naheer Nawaf, plus Brad Wadkins and James Esprit from North London.

The Scorpionz is full of strong personalities and well-disciplined footballers that all bring different attributes to the side and make the team suited to the format of the game.

It will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience which the boys are looking to cherish and remember forever.

The team are going to Brazil to win and hopefully bring the trophy back to England.
