WINDSOR are now four matches without a win in Division 2A of the Thames Valley League after an eight-wicket defeat against Hayes on Saturday.

Hayes won the toss and invited Windsor to bat first at Home Park, the hosts making 202 runs all out off 48.5 overs.

Number five Sam Jordan top-scored with 61 runs for his first half-century of the season, while captain Kristan Baumgartner made 31 and Mark Lines 26 batting at number seven.

Harman Momi was the best of the six Hayes bowlers used with figures of 3-34 from 9.5 overs, which included the wicket of Lines.

Athar Khan claimed the wickets of both opening batsman Baumgartner and Henry Evans (13) in his 3-48, while Harpreet Sangha chipped in with 2-19.

Hayes reached 206-2 off 34.4 overs in response and for their eighth consecutive win this season, which keeps the league leaders unbeaten this season.

Opening batsman Joshua Painter carried his bat through for an unbeaten 74 and Prabhjot Singh made 58, both recording their second half-centuries of this campaign.

The two Hayes wickets fell to Lines (1-32) and Jamie Hall (1-57).

The defeat means Windsor have dropped one place to seventh position in the league table ahead of a trip to third-placed Amersham 2s this Saturday (1pm).

Maidenhead & Bray remain in ninth position in the league table following their draw away at Chesham 2s.

Jamie Anderson (109), Mark Hughes-D’Aeth (68) and Henry White (66) helped Chesham to 297-6 off 52 overs.

Maidenhead & Bray held on for a share of the points at 196-9 off 48 overs. Max Thomas top-scored with 59 runs.

Maidenhead & Bray host fifth-in-the-table Kew this Saturday.
