THE Slough Sevens is the biggest rugby event of its kind in the region and the 14th annual tournament will be held at Tamblyn Fields this Saturday.

With over 30 teams competing across three senior competitions, it is set to be another fantastic event and this year The Greenies will be hosting three competitions.

The Elite league will me made up of some of the best sevens outfits in the country, while the Social competition has a mix of teams from across the counties and the Beer league is for all abilities, shapes and sizes.

The competition will begin at 10.30am and will run throughout the day with parking available on site.

There will be things to do for all the family as well as lots to eat and drink. The BBQ will begin early in the afternoon and there will be a range of stalls to keep hunger at bay.

There will be bars dotted around plus a bouncy castle and other games to keep kids entertained.

Once the rugby has finished the annual evening party will begin with live music from 7.30pm by the Sparrowhawks, playing up-tempo covers spanning from the 60s to the modern day.

Food will also be available from Spicy YC Foods, who are a local catering company specialising in South Asian food and a big hit last year.

Each year the evening party is themed and this time it is Halloween, so dig-out your devil outfits.

The club welcomes everyone to camp, both the night of and night before the sevens tournament. There is no charge for this and the bar will be open.

Slough Rugby Club would like to thank tournament sponsors Tomato Plant for their continued support.
