DIVISION One leaders Cookham Dean returned to winning form after a nine-wicket victory against Cove at Ricketts Field on Saturday.

Cookham overseas star Sahan Nanayakkare led the bowling attack with his five-wicket-haul (5-68) from 21 overs, which included six maidens.

He claimed the wickets of the top four Cove batsman, which left the visitors struggling a 19-4, and later had Ranitha Liyanarachchi caught by Greg Davis for 20 runs.

Simret Mangat took 3-9 from 3.1 overs while Wasim Ahmed managed 2-43, which included the wicket of top scorer Jake Roylance (37).

Opening batsman Patrick Castleden (27) and Davis (77*) put on 90 runs for the first wicket, before Chris Marrow (16*) arrived at the crease to help his side to victory.

The win means Cookham now have a clear 27-point lead at the top of the table ahead of a short trip to rivals Boyne Hill this Saturday (1pm start).

Cookham Dean then turn their attention to the National Village Cup and a fifth round tie away at Liphook & Ripsley this Sunday (1pm).
