SLOUGH Town have suffered a first defeat in 10 matches in all competitions after a 3-0 loss away at Tiverton Town on Saturday.

The Rebels were beaten for the first time in eight games in the Southern Premier Division, leaving them in eighth position in the league table.

The first half remained goalless at Ladysmead, but Tiverton substitutes Callum Hall and Tom Bath changed the game after the break.

Two goals from Hall and a Bath strike secured the points for the home team.

The defeat leaves Slough two points behind the play-off positions but with at least three matches in hand on all the sides above them.

The Rebels welcome Redditch United to Arbour Park on Saturday (7.45pm), before Banbury United make their visit on Saturday (3pm).

Maidenhead United were held to a 1-1 draw by Stockport County in the third round proper of the FA Trophy on Saturday.

A goal from Matthew Warburton gave National League North club Stockport County the lead inside eight minutes at York Road.
