Owners have recently won plans to build new homes in Slough and Windsor.

A controversial proposal to add a house on the end of a terrace in Langley was approved after an appeal to the government’s planning inspector in December.

Meanwhile, a ‘dilapidated’ three-bedroom house in Cippenham will be demolished to clear the way for teaching buildings.

In Windsor, an owner has won approval to replace their existing house with a five-bedroom home.

A plan to add a three-bedroom house at the end of a terrace in Harrow Road, Langley, has been approved on appeal.

The project also involves front and rear extensions to the existing three-bedroom end-of-terrace house.

The project was rejected by Slough Borough Council’s last May over the size of the proposed front extension.

However, a government planning inspector judged that the extension followed the council’s planning rules and therefore allowed the project on appeal last December.

The news was reported to the council’s planning committee on January 31.

A ‘dilapidated’ three-bedroom house on the grounds of The Westgate School in Cippenham will be demolished to make way for new teaching buildings.

A caretaker previously used the house within the secondary school grounds.

However, now the school’s project managers Primrose have won approval to demolish it. It is predicted that the demolition will take one week.

Primrose still requires permission for the classrooms and offices that the school wants to replace (application reference P/20419/001)

Grand new home in Windsor approved (RBWM app 23/01117/FULL)

The owners of a house in Bolton Avenue, Windsor, have won permission to replace an existing house with a new five-bedroom home.

The existing house is two storeys tall with a sloping roof and in built garage.

Now its owners have won approval to replace it with a 2.5-storey house with a grand entrance and two dormers at roof level.

The new house has space for four double bedrooms on the first floor, with an ensuite double-bedroom, office, and home gym on the second floor.

Replacement for rural home approved (RBWM app 23/01696/FULL)

The owners of a house down a rural lane on the outskirts of Cookham Dean have won approval to replace it with a modern home.

The existing house is situated in the East Paddock lane, nestled in the Bisham Woods nature reserve.

Now, the owners have won approval to replace it with a modern four bedroom home.

Planning officer Dariusz Kusyk judged that the project complied with the council’s rules, approving it on February 16.
