Windsor Castle is preparing to celebrate 100 years of Queen Mary's dolls' house.

Curator Kathryn Jones is preparing the miniature items from Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House for a special display in Windsor Castle’s Waterloo Chamber.

These include a vacuum cleaner, grand piano, miniature crown, throne and sewing machine

Visitors of the castle will be able to compare the tiny items in the Waterloo Chamber display with their full-sized equivalents throughout the Castle’s State Apartments.

Items on display include a copper kettle made from a real coin, with the King’s head still visible on the base

Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House has been re-presented to mark the anniversary, including updated lighting and the conservation of the murals and niches in the room that was created to display the Dolls’ House almost 100 years ago.
