A Czech inspired restaurant is set to open its doors early next year at Maidenhead's Waterside Quarter development.

ToMo Tankovna will be serving up modern European dishes paired with the Budvar beer.

The restaurant is run by husband and wife, Tomasz and Monika, where it will be the only eatery exclusively offering Budvar beer poured from its distinctive taps in a unique traditional technique, served from the brewery without any added CO2.

ToMo Tankovna's head chef, formerly with the renowned Michelin-starred Fat Duck, Bray, will welcome guests into the world of Czech cuisine.

Not only are diners able to witness the unique beer pouring process, but the serving staff will also be able to explain the history behind the distinctive serving technique.

Tomasz Balsam, Owner of ToMo Tankovna commented, “We are so excited to be opening our doors, offering a truly unique Czech experience with high quality Budvar beer for all and specialist traditional dishes for everyone to enjoy.

"We take pride in ensuring our food and quality of service is first-class and we can’t wait to welcome our guests!”

The restaurant will be joining local favourites Sauce & Flour, El Cerdo, Bardo Lounge and Coppa Club as part of the new development by Shanly Homes and Sorbon Estates.

Guy Thomas at Sorbon Estates said: “We are thrilled to welcome ToMo Tankovna to Waterside Quarter and believe it will be a fantastic addition to our diverse range of culinary offerings.

"We look forward to seeing customers immerse themselves in the rich history of Czech Republic’s finest dishes and are sure it will become a popular eatery within the community.

"As Waterside Quarter continues to evolve, we eagerly anticipate unveiling more exciting brands in the coming months.”
