A new Health Hub has launched with a goal of providing health advice to residents in three villages outside of Windsor.

Residents of Datchet, Horton and Wraysbury have welcomed a community led health hub brought about in partnership with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, NHS and Datchet Health Centre.

The hub's first session took place this morning (December 12).

Flyers distributed around the towns read: "We are here for preventative and general wellbeing advice as well as any existing conditions or treatment you may need help with."

The service offers NHS referrals and repeat prescriptions as well as a quiet place to chat, with walk ins welcome.

Dianne Cranmer, Health Hub Project Manager said: "It is important that the area has this service as it is very disjointed between the three villages and we have a lot of residents in Wraysbury who find it difficult to get to Datchet Health Centre or the local hospitals.

"We are going to have a blood test clinic every Thursday morning and when speaking to Datchet Health Clinic they have said that is a key issue for Wraysbury residents - they find it difficult to get regular blood checks."

The Health Hub can be found at The Wraysbury Hub at 12a High Street and opens every Tuesday from 9:30am to 12:30pm.

Blood test clinic appointments will be available from January every Thursday 9am to midday.
