A yellow weather warning for rain and wind has been enforced across Berkshire, casting concern over whether schools will close.
It comes as train lines, including Great Western Railway, advise commuters to work from home as delays are expected during the storm.
On Wednesday, November 1, Slough Borough Council said there are no planned school closures in the area.
The weather warning has come into force as of 6pm today and remains until midnight tomorrow (November 2).
The Met Office said more wet weather could bring disruption to the region.
"Heavy rain associated with Storm Ciarán is likely to bring disruption to southern parts of England and Wales," they said.
What to expect from the weather:
- Delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible
- Homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
- Some communities may be cut off by flooded roads
- Fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life
