We have rounded up some of the best Halloween-themed attractions and events for you and your family on your doorstep.

This list will see you facing your fears on bone-chilling trails and even dressing your pooch up for a fancy dress competition.

Slough

  • The Terror Trail

Location: Black Park Country Park

Date: October 23 to 27

Hidden characters have been hidden around the woods to find.

A visitor sheet can be picked up from the visitor centre.

  • Halloween party

Location: The Bee Burnham

Date: October 27

From 8pm the pub will be hosting a fancy dress competition.

Windsor

  • Howl-o-ween dog fancy dress competition

Location: The Windsor Trooper

Date: October 30

A Halloween competition that invites people to dress their dogs up for charity is to return next starting at 7.00pm. 

Registration on the night is £5 per pooch which includes a goody bag, entrance to the fancy dress parade and a mini photoshoot.

  • The Night Forest

Location: Braywick Nature Centre

Date: October 25 to 28

An after-dark experience for the whole family which will include pumpkin carving, storytelling and a spooky walk.

Aimed at ages four to 11 and priced at £6 per person.

  • Legoland Brick or Treat

Location: Legoland Windsor

Date: September 28 to November 5

The Legoland resort is to be transformed into a pumpkin-filled wonderland suitable for all ages.

  • Pumpkin Party

Location: Windsor Royal Station

Date: October 28

A pumpkin carving event and competition are taking place between 10:30am and 3:30pm.

Judging is set to commence from 3:30pm.

Bracknell

  • Swinley Forest Pumpkin Trail 

Location: Swinley Forest

Dates: October 21 to 29

To mark Halloween a Pumpkin trail will be hosted in the forest.

Those wishing to take part can pick up a map for a suggested minimum donation of £3 from The Look Out Discovery Centre.

  • Children's Halloween Party

Location: Downshire Golf Complex

Date: October 28

A Halloween party featuring fancy dress and party games is to be held from midday to 4pm.

Tickets are £5 a child and can be bought by calling 01344 30 20 30.

  • Dinton Pastures Country Park trail

Location: Dinton Pastures

Date: October 21 to 29

A spooky trail is currently open where children are invited to follow a map and spot ghouls and monsters hiding in the bushes.

The one-hour route is fully accessible and costs £2.50 per person.

  • Pumpkin Carnival

Location: Holme Grange Craft Village

Date: October 29

A pumpkin carnival is being hosted complete with a bungee trampoline, bouncy castle and circus workshop.

A costume parade is also taking place. Tickets must be pre-booked via the website. Children cost £12 and adults £2. 

  • Binfield Scarecrow Hunt

Location: Binfield

Date: October 21 to 29

With over 50 to find, this scarecrow hunt is taking place throughout the week.

Maps can be bought for £3 at The Foxes' Den, Daphne's Coffee Shop or Binfield Village Stores.

Reading

  • Reading Scarecrow Halloween Trail

Location: Reading Town Hall, The Oracle Customer Service Desk and Broad Street Mall

Dates: October 21 to 29

This spooky event is completely free. A leaflet can be picked up from one of the locations above.  

You are then tasked to find all the scarecrows that are dotted throughout the streets of Reading.

  • The Addams Family Musical Comedy

Location: Queen Anne's Performing Arts Centre at Queen Anne’s School, Henley Road, Caversham

Dates: October 25 to 28

Award-winning musical theatre society, The Sainsbury Singers presents a new take on family favourite ‘The Addams Family.’

  • Halloween Trail in Caversham Court Gardens

On October 28 and 29, visit the gardens and encounter ghosts, witches, weird creatures, and nature spirits all made from recycled and found materials. 

There are 20 spooky displays to uncover, and the trail is free with tick sheets available for £1.
