AN Uber Eats driver is on trial accused of causing someone serious injury after a car crash in Maidenhead.
Andras Santa is on trial at Reading Crown Court charged with driving a Ford Mondeo on Windsor Road on October 2 last year and causing Shane Forman serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving.
The court heard that the 37-year-old was on a hands-free phone call at the time of the incident but the judge pointed out to the jury that this is not criminal behaviour.

Santa, of Florence Avenue, Maidenhead, stated he was not speaking to his mother, who was on the other end of the line, at the time of the incident.
The jury are due to retire.
