An "electric" karate tournament saw over 150 people showcase their talents.

Last Sunday (June 11), Eagle Institute hosted a karate tournament, with six different karate clubs across two countries participating.

A spokesperson for Eagle Institue said the level of skill on display was "truly impressive".

"The atmosphere was electric as the participants showcased their talents in front of an enthusiastic audience," they continued.

There were 42 categories, including Kihon, Family Kata (Parent + Child), Pair Kata, Individual Kata, Kumite and Juraken.

The event was held under the guidance of the World Karate-Do Alliance (WKA).

Attendees used the event as an opportunity to raise funds for Bullies Out charity a charity which is very close to members of the Eagle Institute's hearts.

"We are proud to have been able to contribute to their mission of fighting against bullying," the spokesperson added.

"We believe that our efforts were not only successful in terms of raising funds but also in raising awareness about the issue of bullying and the importance of taking action against it.

"We hope that by shining a light on this important cause, we can inspire others to get involved in the fight against bullying as well."
