Slough and Windsor can expect sunshine and high temperatures as the heatwave is set to last into the weekend.

The area will see temperatures of up to 28 degrees and blue skies as we near the end of the week.

Temperatures will then decrease slightly to 25 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday (June 17-18).

Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead can expect lows of 16 degrees Celsius through the weekend, with cloud cover increasing.

The Met Office expects that the area will be "largely dry and remaining warm".

Looking to the weekend the Met Office expect: "Long periods of sunshine into the weekend."

"The risk of afternoon showers increases.

"Temperatures are set to remain very warm inland by day and by night."

There are very high levels of UV rays and high levels of pollen across Berkshire.

Looking into next week, the Met Office has warned of "outbreaks of rain or showers, heavy and thundery at times".

"Through the week, showers, some heavy and thundery, are likely to continue, though brighter or sunnier interludes are also expected, along with a brisk breeze at times.

"Temperatures will remain warm or very warm and rather humid.

"Beyond next week and towards the end of June, there may be a return to slightly more settled conditions.

"This would mean reduced rainfall amounts for many, although perhaps with the northwest seeing more rainfall at times. Temperatures are likely to remain above average."
