Film crews will be in Windsor today as stop and go measures are put in force for traffic.

Apple TV has revealed that they are filming a new show, with a scene set on Alma Road.

'Varsity' an upcoming TV show is being filmed in Cambridge and City London, with the crews from Trinity Productions making the trip for a scene that will reportedly only make up a few minutes of the show.

On asking location manager for Trinity Productions Mark Mutimer why Windsor was chosen, he said: "It is an interesting estate and location - it has a nice old art deco feel to it."

He reported that no famous faces will be on-site, where they will be filming on the road and around the estate.

Mark has previously worked on shows such as Killing Eve and Luther.

Local pub The Hope, situated on Alma Road, has announced that their car park will be closed during filming.

In a statement on Facebook Marc Hunter said: "The pub car park will be closed on Wednesday as it is being used by a film unit.

"Limited parking vouchers are available to pick up from the pub tomorrow between 3pm and 5pm, this will give you free parking all day in a designated area in Alexandra Gardens.

"Any cars left in the car park Tuesday night will be removed by the police Wednesday morning.

"The pub will be open as usual. We will be back to normal Thursday. We apologise for any inconvenience."

Trinity Production has assured residents the road will remain open with stop and go signalling estimated to be in place from 1pm to 11pm.

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead have confirmed advisory letters have been sent to businesses and residents in the vicinity by the production company.
