A football player has been racially abused during a game at Slough Town Football Club.

The incident occurred during Slough Town's football match with Dulwich Hamlet towards the end of the second half at around 4.50pm on Saturday, January 21, when a spectator racially abused one of the Dulwich Hamlet players.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the incident of public order in Slough which was reported to police on Wednesday, January 25.

Investigating officer, PC Stephen Mountain, said: “We are investigating this report of a racially aggravated public order offence, and I would urge anybody who has any information, or who witnessed anything of this nature, to please contact Thames Valley Police on 101 or by making a report online, quoting reference number 43230037604.

“If you have information, but wish to remain anonymous, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“The vast majority of supporters at this game behaved in an exemplary manner, and were a credit to both football clubs, but we take reports of this nature very seriously and will work with both clubs to investigate this incident.”
