A LUXURY car dealership that sells McLaren and Ferrari supercars worldwide is set to get a major revamp locally after plans were approved again.

SuperVettura, Berkshire’s official Koenigsegg dealer, sells some of the most expensive super and hypercars in the world – all from a small Berkshire Victorian village.

It was given the go-ahead by councillors sitting on the Windsor and Ascot development management panel to redevelop its showroom in London Road, Sunningdale.

The plans include demolishing its current building to create a “truly landmark” and state-of-the-art facility to show off its luxurious cars to its high-end clientele.

Demolition could start early this year and development could be completed by next summer.

SuperVettura had a previous scheme, which was exactly the same as this plan, approved in 2019 but failed to implement the development within the three-year timeframe. This requires councillors to reapprove it.

Tommy Wareham and Paul Burrows, founders, and joint owners of SuperVettura have been official representatives of Koenigsegg since 2005, establishing their own business, SuperVettura in November 2010.

They said: “We would like to sincerely thank all of our customers past, present, and future for your ongoing loyalty and support. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful new showroom in 2024.”

Councillors approved the plans again on Wednesday, January 4.

Cllr David Hilton (Con: Ascot & Sunninghill) said: “There’s absolutely no reason why this shouldn’t be approved and that will give us, I think if I’m right, McLaren, Rolls Royce, Maserati, and a Swedish manufacturer of a super high-performance car could be sold in this particular location.”
